About Chris Motes
The day Chris Motes arrived in Vancouver, British Columbia, it took him only a few hours to decide he would never leave. There was not a cloud in the sky, sailboats were out in English Bay, and on the North Shore mountains, virgin snow glimmered in the sun.
He quickly found his calling — litigation — and remained fasci- nated by the process and the impact on people’s lives for nearly four decades. And it was that experience that he drew upon to write A Wolf In Our Midst.
Thanks go, of course, to his partner, Anna, who was the first to read that brutal initial draft. It is a wonder that she survived the experience. To Starr Waddell and her team of beta readers at Quiet House Editing, who provided pages and pages of invaluable criticism and insights into the minds of readers. And lastly, Sigrid Macdonald of Book Magic, who did what editors do: add commas here, semi- colons there, and lots of other things everywhere else.
